Aula Mediterrània
The inter-university programme Aula Mediterrània aims to foster studies on the Mediterranean with as wide and interdisciplinary a perspective as possible. Started in 2015, it is the result of the collaboration between the IEMed and the academic world.
The 28 sessions of the lectures for 2017-2018 in the programme are characterised by the diversity of subjects and voices, as well as the importance of the events experienced by the region that are of interest not only to the academic world and experts but also the general public.
Managing refugees and migrations, the situation in Syria, the role of countries such as Iran and Saudi Arabia, the phenomenon of terrorism and violent extremism that particularly affects the young or the state of liberties and the media are some of the issues on which the speakers, from the academic world, journalism and civil society, will reflect, without ignoring subjects related to history, linguistic studies, identity or managing natural resources.
